Don’t You Ever Age?

When I stop and think about age, or when it seems that age has stopped to think about me, I am amazed.

A friend of mine in Washington is a regular at the night clubs, and something of a joker. “When we go out at night,” he told me, “we never leave home without a safety pin.”

“Why?” I asked.

“Because if you want a girlfriend, the first thing you do is give her behind a gentle little poke with the pin.”

“Whatever for?”

“If she feels the pin, the behind is real. If she doesn’t, it’s artificial intelligence,” he said.
